This 7/8-inch Traditional Metal Rod is in the 1 in. Scale and features a gold-colored finish. It is available in three lengths: 4 feet (48 inches), 6 feet (72 inches), or 8 feet (96 inches).

We recommend a support bracket for every 4 to 6 feet of rod length depending on the weight of your drapes.

We recommend applying Ring Glide Tape (HERE) to the top of the rod when using drapery rings to help protect the finish.

Connecting Two or More Rods

Longer rods may be made from two or more rods joined with a Connector Screw (sold HERE). Please note that the Connector Screw is not weight bearing, so an additional support bracket must be used at the point where two or more rods are joined.

An Important Note About Cutting Down Rods

Our Traditional Rods are made with holes drilled at each end to accept a connector screw or finial. In some cases, you may need to cut down a rod leaving you with a hollow end. As a solution, you’ll need a Hollow Rod Plug (sold HERE). Once inserted into the hollow end of a cut rod, this plug will allow you to attach a connector screw or finial.
